Ahead of the Chinese New Year, Hangzhou Gulou Church sent 900 pairs of warm shoes via express delivery to villagers in Yunnan Province.
According to Hangzhou Municipal CC&TSPM, Qixiang Xincun (New Residential Area), Baohe Township, Weixi County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, is situated on a plateau, enduring harsh cold winters. The delivery of warm shoes was likened to winter sunlight, addressing the villagers’ practical needs.
At the donation ceremony conducted on January 6 in Qixiang Xincun, a villager remarked, "These warm shoes not only protect our feet from the cold but also bring warmth to our hearts."
