On March 12, Dr. Bernard Low Bun Leong, director of the United Bible Societies China Partnership (UBS CP), along with two colleagues, visited the Shaanxi CC&TSPM and the Shaanxi Bible School.

Rev. Wang Jun, president and chairperson of Shaanxi CC&TSPM, provided the guests with a brief introduction to the local customs and culture of Shaanxi, an overview of the churches in the province, and the organization's recent key initiatives. He also shared plans for the upcoming 2025 commemorative activities, which will mark the 75th anniversary of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches in China, the 110th anniversary of the birth of Bishop K. H. Ting, and the 10th anniversary of the proposal for the sinicization of Christianity.

Pastor Wang appreciated the UBS's constant efforts for promoting the church in China overseas positively, which has helped to eliminate misunderstandings. Wang also thanked them for their support in the Bible ministry of the Shaanxi churches.

The visiting group was concerned about the Bible ministry and the resistance against heresies, and expressed their anticipation for further achievements in the sinicization of Christianity by the Shaanxi churches. Both sides also exchanged views on the impact of the pandemic on the church, theological education, talent cultivation, and so on.

The following day, the visiting group toured the Weinan CC&TSPM and the pastoral training base of the Shaanxi CC&TSPM in the Guanzhong area. They discussed various ministries, including Bible ministry, pastoral training, the sinicization of Christianity, and the use of the library at the pastoral training base.

The visiting group also enjoyed the cultural landmarks such as the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors, the Bell and Drum Towers, and the Muslim Quarter.
