Kunshan TSPM in Jiangsu Province hosted a retreat for church workers who often give sermons on the pulpit from May 19 to 21, with 86 participants.
According to Kunshan Church, the retreat began with devotional time during the three days. Professor Ye Nahe, a national first-level director and screenwriter of the Jiangsu Federation of Literary and Art Circles, shared a lecture themed "Family Happiness in Christ" in combination with Chinese traditional culture. Pastor Bai Ming, a teacher at the Nanjing Union Theological Seminary and a doctor of pastoral psychology, spoke to the pastoral staff and co-workers on "Introduction to Pastoral Counseling - Theory and Practice", offering guidance on how to care for believers through psychological counseling. Participants appreciated the depth and richness of the courses.
On May 21, Kunshan TSPM organized the co-workers who participated in the retreat to visit Wuxi Church to learn about the sinicization of Christianity and church management. They visited the Sinicization of Christianity Exhibition Hall, the reading room, and the recording studio of Wuxi Church, and watched the promotional documentary of Wuxi Church. Then, they had a discussion and exchange.
The co-workers learned about the experience of Wuxi Christian churches in the sinicization of Christianity, strengthening the construction of places of worship, improving the safety management mechanism, conducting talent training, and actively participating in social services.
