On May 28, Longcheng Church hosted an Elderly Cloud fellowship event to celebrate the incoming Dragon Boat Festival in advance.

The Dragon Boat Festival, also called the Duanwu Festival, falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in the Chinese calendar (on May 31 this year). People celebrate it to commemorate a great patriotic poet named Yuan Qu by eating rice dumplings (also called zongzi) and racing dragon boats.

According to Longcheng Church in Longgang District, Shenzhen, the event focused on the social issue of "how the elderly face challenges and emotional distress." Through a lecture by a professional psychological counselor, it aims to help elderly friends address challenges using scientific methods, rediscovering a state of joy and peace.

Teacher Zhang, a national second-level psychological counselor, combined with his extensive counseling experience to explain how the elderly can adjust their mindset and seek help when facing challenges related to physical health, social relationships, and retirement life. Through the power of faith, they can find inner peace and the meaning of life.

During the lecture, Teacher Zhang also shared practical psychological adjustment techniques and case studies, followed by an interactive Q&A session where elderly participants actively raised their hands to ask questions.

At the end of the program, all participants sang hymns together, expressing praise for life and gratitude to God through songs.
