On June 8, Guizhou CC&TSPM held an ordination ceremony at Guizhou Bible School, during which eight pastors and two elders were ordained.
Before the ordination, a training session was conducted for the candidates, focusing on the "Regulations on Religious Personnel" and the "Church Order of Protestant Churches in China," said the host.
During the service, Rev. Yang Mingxiang, president of Guizhou Christian Council, delivered a sermon based on John 10:11, 14, and 1 Peter 5:2, under the theme "Being Faithful to the Lord's Trust and Being a Good Shepherd." He emphasized three key aspects: understanding one's congregation, pastoring God's people, and being willing to lay down one's life for the flock. He encouraged the candidates to follow the example of Jesus, to carry believers in their hearts, have spiritual nourishment on their lips, and hold the shepherd's staff in hand, faithfully fulfilling their pastoral responsibilities.
Subsequently, Rev. Luo Yingfu, director of the Guizhou TSPM, presided over the ceremony and administered the ordination vows. The pastorate then conducted the laying on of hands ceremony for the newly ordained, conferred holy stoles, presented them with Bibles and flowers, and issued clergy certificates.
