On November 6, Liaoning Provincial CC&TSPM conducted an ordination ceremony at its subordinated Panshi Church, during which 85 ministers were ordained as pastors and 90 as elders.
According to the CCC&TSPM, Rev. Hou Yujie, president of the provincial Christian Council, preached from Matthew 7:24-27 on the theme "Standing on the Rock, Serving the Nation and the Family." Drawing upon traditional Chinese culture, she expounded on the clergy's essence, devotion, and mission through three dimensions: self-cultivation and piety, shepherding and benevolence, and the call to serve both nation and family.
Elder Shi Aijun, chairperson of the provincial TSPM and president of Northeast Theological Seminary, led the ordination proceedings by administering vows, inquiries, and prayers. He invoked the Holy Spirit to strengthen the faith of the 175 newly ordained, urging them to serve Christ faithfully, share the responsibilities of the church, guide believers, manage church affairs in line with the Three-Self principles, and advance the Sinicization of Christianity.
Rev. Hou also delivered a detailed lecture on "The Image of the Good Shepherd," providing practical guidance on pastoral conduct and leading a demonstration on administering Holy Communion.
