As in previous years, the National Religious Affairs Administration (NRAA) issued its Christmas greetings to the Catholic and Protestant communities on December 23.

The letter opened with a message of goodwill, stating, "As Christmas approaches, we convey our sincere greetings and best wishes to the Catholic and Protestant communities."

According to the letter, over the past year, Catholic and Protestant communities in China have continued to carry out religious activities in accordance with relevant regulations while strengthening internal governance and community life. These efforts, the letter noted, have contributed to steady progress in various aspects of church life and ministry.

Looking ahead, the letter referred to the coming year as the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period and expressed the hope that Catholic and Protestant communities would continue to develop in an orderly manner, uphold Three-Self principles, and remain committed to their respective paths of promoting the sinicization of religions.
