On April 21, this year's Easter, Beijing Chongwenmen Church held biblical and musical performances to honor the Lord Jesus' resurrection from the dead.
The show begun with the recitation of the chapters about Jesus' resurrection. Sisters of the biblical play troupe presented a drama entitled The First Day of the Week that told the story of Jesus' resurrection from the eyes of Mary.
After the play, the church staff gave a chorus Because He Lives.
The troupe also performed two dramas The Road to Emmaus and On the Road to Damascus, winning hails of applauses.
Afterward, the church workers showed the strengths of their unique gifts such as violin playing, clarinet solo, folk music ensemble, and Bible verse recitation.
The performances concluded with a dance named Preparation.
