A well-known pastor in Taiwan sent a message, saying that after a serious illness in October last year, he realized that the most precious thing was that everything was grace.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year, January 22, Andrew Kou, the senior pastor of the Home of Christ Church in Taipei and a Taiwanese TV host, talked about his experiences and lessons from the past year.

“From 2012 to 2022, I have been admitted to an ICU seven times, received three notices of critical condition, and undergone five major surgeries.”

Kou said that in October last year, the doctor checked carefully as he suddenly fell ill and began to suffer from insomnia all night. He was engaged in reciting the Bible, Psalms, and the Lord's Prayer, praying and confessing his own sins, the city's sins, and the country's sins, but he still couldn’t fall asleep. Finally, he only cried, “Lord, save me!”

He added that he didn’t fall asleep until last night, Chinese New Year’s Eve,

He concluded that such a sad experience taught him to humbly surrender before God and admit that people were too limited and small to leave God.
