The Chinese Christian original music drama "Such Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law" made its debut on Nov. 28 in Beijing. It was popular among the audiences.
The drama lasted one and half a hour, which tells a story of Ruth in the days when the judges ruled, a Moabite widow, who chose to follow her mother-in-law despite of the hard living condition and gained a happy marriage for her love and kindness and became a great woman in the history of Israel.
Li Xionghui, the director of this drama and the vice professional of the Central Academy of Drama, said, "What we want to achieve in the drama is to feel real life with artistic hearts. We have been discussing the details and our goal is that every actor or actress can act out the spirit of his or her character, such as the gesture of stretching out one's hand reflecting gasping the air, the anxious eyes revealing the life. "
After the drama, a pastor who watched the drama said that the drama was refreshing in the story and the scene setting.
