On November 28, a renowned Christian painter, Mr. Ding Ping'an, donated quite a collection of his landscape paintings and calligraphy works to Shanxi Provincial CC&TSPM.
Rev. Wang Jun, president and chairperson of the provincial CC&TSPM, stated that Mr. Ding utilized the art forms of calligraphy and painting to provide a more intuitive understanding of the concept of the sinicization of Christianity.
Mr. Ding’s calligraphy and paintings blend the core beliefs of Christianity, Bible stories, elements of faith, and the traditions of Chinese culture. In 2022, he was invited to participate in the first "Drawing the Bible" exhibition organized by CCC&TSPM. His work, "Deer Admiring the Stream," received widespread acclaim and was subsequently acquired by the organizer.
Mr. Ding is a member of the Shaanxi Artists Association and holds several prominent positions, including vice president of the Shaanxi National Defense Painting and Calligraphy Association, vice president of the Xi'an Branch of the Traditional Chinese Painting College, and vice chairperson of the Xi'an High-tech Zone Artists Association. Additionally, he is a specially appointed painter at the Jiangsu Province Traditional Chinese Painting Academy and a member of the San San Painters Club in Xi’an.
