Christian Artist Shi Kai to Bring 'The Pain and Love in Our Lives' Exhibition to New York

The exhibition "The Pain and Love in Our Lives," featuring works by Christian painter Shi Kai, will open this Sunday in New York.

Curated by Dr. Qingsong Hao and hosted by the Herald Art & Culture Center, the exhibition will run from December 15, 2024, to January 10, 2025, and will be open Monday through Saturday. Over the course of 23 days, the exhibition will feature a collection of acrylic paintings on canvas by Christian artist Shi Kai, including works such as “Mercy from God,” “Sad God,” “The precious blood of God has been cover here,” “In the world,” “Punishment is coming,” “God's love is always here No. 2,” “The winter No. 1," and “On the way.”

Shi Kai, formerly known as Lu Chenghui, graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Hebei Light Industry School in 1997 and later earned a degree from the Architecture Department of Hebei University of Architecture in 2002. She spent 14 years conducting bronze research at an institute of cultural relics and archaeology. Currently, she resides and works in Connecticut, the United States.
