With 9 billion won ($7.8 million) earning on its release date, undeniably Lee Min Ho's "Bounty Hunters" hits big in China.
Lee Min Ho's comedy action movie premiered in 52,000 Chinese cinemas on July 1 with a Box-office record.
"The local response has been really strong. 'Bounty Hunters' topped the most-searched terms on Baidu and Weibo," a Starhaus Entertainment official was quoted as saying.
The movie is now sitting on top spot of Chinese box office beating "So I Married an Anti-fan" with 23 million yuan (3.45 million US dollars) on its opening day.
"Bounty Hunters" was produced in Korea and China. It was about a group of bounty hunters who are chasing wanted criminals across countries like Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand and China for a fee. the film stars Lee Min Ho, Wallace Chung, Tang Yan, and Tiffany Tang as well as other new faces like Karena Ng and Jeremy Jones.
"Bounty Hunters" is believed to set other countries to stun on its release in Malaysia, Taiwan,Australia,Hong Kong, England, Singapore, and Vietnam.
