The "Descendants of the Sun" leading actor broke into tears during his Shanghai fan meeting on Saturday.
According to a report, the 30-year-old South Korean actor became emotional as he read a letter of gratitude to his fans in Shanghai.
Song read, "I had a lot of concern as I started out on this Asia tour. I gave a lot of thoughts on whether I am truly worthy of all your love," then faltered to a near-sob.
"My attitude changed a great deal during the four months I was on this tour," he continued.
The hallyu star's Asian tour covered 10 cities including Bangkok, Seoul, Wuhan, Beijing, shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Taipei and Shanghai.
"It's very personal and I can't tell you in every detail, but please know that because of you I was able to change into a person I am more proud of. I am more confident now than before," Song said.
The "Descendants of the Sun" actor also used the opportunity to express his thanks for the love he received from his parents and mentor who were present in the audience that time.
