An unveiling ceremony for Shanghai's Religious Sector Committee Member Office was held.

On August 21, the ceremony was officiated by Vice Chairman Qian Feng of Shanghai CPPCC, and Chairman Rev. Xu Xiaohong of National TSPM, reported CCC&TSPM.

The new office is affiliated with the Committee on Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC.

Qian Feng emphasized that the establishment of the Religious Sector Committee Member Office at the station of CCC&TSPM carries significant value.

Min Weixing, director of the committee, stated that the establishment of the office provides new opportunities and a platform for religious committee members to fulfill their duties. It also represents the advancement of CPPCC work to the grassroots level, allowing people from diverse sectors to engage with the CPPCC and enabling committee members to connect more deeply with the community. The goal is to make the office a platform for building consensus among committee members, a bridge for uniting religious figures, and a channel for serving believers.

Rev. Geng Weizhong, deputy director of the committee and vice president of the China Christian Council, noted that having the office at the station of CCC&TSPM will further strengthen connections with believers, enhance ties and cooperation with religious communities across the country, and deepen foreign exchanges and collaboration.
