The faith-based Amity Foundation has conducted an educational charity initiative to improve the sports infrastructure in rural schools in collaboration with a Shenzhen smart device company.

According to Amity, in 2024, the foundation initiated a “Renewal Plan” collaborating with Shenzhen Transsion Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereafter "Transsion") to enhance the sports infrastructure in rural schools and promote the healthy development of rural students. So far, the project has established basketball courts and donated sports equipment to schools in Ruijin, Jiangxi Province, and Jianshui, Yunnan Province, thereby supporting the advancement of quality education.

Recently, Amity, alongside the Transsion volunteer team, visited the Shazhouba Branch of Ruijin No. 4 Middle School in Jiangxi to review the charity project's implementation and observe the improvements the new sports facility has brought to campus life.

Students shared their excitement after experiencing the new court. “The new basketball court gives us more opportunities to participate in sports activities!” Another said, “In the past, we didn’t dare to play basketball and enjoy ourselves because we worried about getting injured. Now, that’s no longer a concern!”

Principal Deng Chunying remarked, “The ‘Renewal Plan’ not only beautifies the environment of our campus but also ignites the students' passion for sports.”

Ms. Zhou Yanping, general manager of corporate public relations at the Transsion, expressed hope that public welfare projects would help improve the sports infrastructure in rural schools and contribute to the advancement of rural education.

Since 2022, Amity has partnered with Transsion to implement educational public welfare initiatives in mountainous regions of rural Sichuan, Gansu, Yunnan, and other areas, including donating teaching facilities, experimental equipment, and sports gear, as well as offering science courses to rural schools.
