On December 14 and 21, the Beijing YMCA hosted a volunteer exchange event centered on shuttlecock culture for teenagers to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of shuttlecock while promoting scientific fitness methods.

According to the organizer, the event featured Teacher Yin Wen, the fourth-generation inheritor of the "Tangqianyan" shuttlecock-making technique, who provided insights into the craft of shuttlecock-making. Nearly 80 participants attended the event, including teenagers, parents, and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage.

During the activity, Teacher Yin briefed the attendees on the origins and production process of the "Tangqianyan" shuttlecock, highlighting that when making the shuttlecock, it is crucial not to tie a knot, which symbolizes the importance of maintaining harmonious interpersonal relationships without conflicts. Under her guidance, participants not only learned how to make shuttlecock-making but also gained valuable life lessons. With the assistance of their parents, the teenagers used simple materials to create their own shuttlecocks. Additionally, Coach Hu demonstrated different techniques for kicking the shuttlecock.
