Staff members of churches in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province gave up their time to the fight against the virus with material donations.

In the face of a new wave of the epidemic from August 15 to September 4, Wang Minxia, chairman and president of the Shangzhou District CC&TSPM encouraged all church staff to participate in the volunteer services in Shangluo City, which implemented static management, the Shaanxi CC&TSPM said.

Dozens of staff workers volunteered in epidemic prevention and control. Some of them drove their personal cars as emergency vehicles and some provided door-to-door service in the community. Others assisted in the transfer of materials and stuck to their posts on the frontline.

Lin Qiang and Zhang Li, a couple who founded a dental hospital, participated in multiple rounds of nucleic acid sampling and material transport. Lin received a batch of relief materials, including bread, milk, wipes, toilet paper, shampoo, and soap. He purchased toothbrushes, glasses, and umbrellas with his own money. Worth a total of more than 26,000 yuan, these urgently needed necessities were sent to the medical staff working on the front line.
