Church staff from Fujian Province carried out research and exchanges on the sinicization of religion in Yunnan, making a donation to a church during their visit.
During the visit from May 22 to 27, a group of 40 members of Ningde Municipal CC&TSPM in Fujian Province first came to Yunnan Theological Seminary, listening to the introduction of President Rev. Jing Jiuwei about the college, reported Ningde CC&TSPM.
Since its establishment in 2007, the seminary has trained a total of 992 theological students for 23 sessions, out of whom more than 100 have been ordained pastors. A significant proportion of the students come from autonomous prefectures with ethnic minorities.
In Xiaoshuijing Village, Fumin County, Kunming City, the research team enjoyed the welcome song, Miao songs, and dances performed by the Miao peasant chorus. A donation of 27,300 yuan was raised on site for the reconstruction of Xiaoshuijing Church.
