The Chinese Ethnic and Religious Culture Research Center of the Central Institute of Socialism held an inaugural ceremony at Fujian Theological Seminary.
According to the CCC&TSPM, on June 21st, Yuan Sha, vice president of the institute, emphasized during the ceremony that the center was officially established in 2021 by the institute, and aims to contribute to the development of a distinct Chinese religious identity. The center set its research base in Fujian and plans to organize a series of scholarly seminars focusing on the cultural development of Christianity in the province.
Stakeholders expressed their enthusiasm for this initiative and pledged to embrace Chinese traditional culture. They stressed the importance of delving into the interpretation of religious doctrines, nurturing the spiritual lives of believers, enriching church worship activities, and engaging in practical social services. Through these endeavors, they aspire to construct a comprehensive theological framework for Christianity in Fujian.
