Recently, four cities in Shanxi Province organized training sessions for pastoral workers, anti-cult conferences, and the study of religious policies and regulations.
On July 8th, members of the standing committee of Jincheng Municipal CC&TSPM held a work meeting themed "Anti-Cult, Promote Harmony."
Rev. Wang Maikui, chairman and president of Jincheng CC&TSPM, called on churches in the city to prevent and resist heretical teachings and infiltrations. He advised bringing back weak believers and guiding lost believers back onto the right path.
Rev. Wang introduced and analyzed certain heresies and cults, explaining their types, characteristics, and harms.
On July 19th, Yaodu District CC&TSPM in Linfen City held a special study session on religious policy and regulations for its members and some full-time pastoral staff.
On July 24th, Xiangfen County CC&TSPM in Linfen City held a training session at Gucheng Church attended by more than seventy church staff and pastoral workers in the county, reported Shanxi CC&TSPM.
Rev. Huang Hailin, director of Linfen Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), gave a lecture titled "How to Behave in the House of God: Reflections on Church Work in the New Era". He explained in detail political literacy, spiritual nurturing, the ability to shoulder responsibilities, and moral upbringing. He encouraged pastoral workers to be united in constructing healthy, developing, and harmonious churches.
The training session concluded with the learning of fire safety knowledge and a fire drill.
On August 6th, Linxian County CC&TSPM in Lvliang City held an anti-cult propaganda and education event at Linquan Church.
At the end, they distributed the "Handbook for Preventing Heretical Cults", printed by Shanxi Province CC&TSPM, and guided attendees to follow the WeChat public account “China Anti-Cult.”
From August 7th to 11th, West Church in Datong City held the 28th pastoral training session, with participation from nearly a hundred pastoral care volunteers. Pastor Wang Zhengchao delivered a speech titled “Faithfully Administer God's Grace in Its Various Forms,” and Pastor Han Meng'en from the church discussed the seven "I am" statements of Jesus.
