A delegation from the German Evangelical Church (EKD, Protestant Church in Germany) visited the CCC&TSPM to discuss the contextualization and social services of the churches.
According to the CCC&TSPM, on September 22nd, Rev. Wu Wei, president of the Chinese Christian Council, explained the concept of sinicizing Christianity and emphasized that this process should be adapted to the current situation in China. Rev. Wu also highlighted the success of two "Sino-German Dialogues Beyond Religion" events, where churches in China and Germany engaged in fruitful discussions. He expressed the hope for future opportunities to collaborate once again.
Reverend Ute Hedrich, director of the service department of the German Christian Church in the Middle East, Far East, Australia, and Pacific regions, hoped that both parties could carry out their responsibility to society through love and continue to strengthen cooperation. The delegation also responded to the suggestion of holding a beyond-religion dialogue between the two countries, and the German side will cooperate with China to prepare for the third "Sino-German Beyond-Religion Dialogue" in Germany.
