The Journal of Research for Christianity in China (JRCC) has opened applications for its annual scholarship, hoping to advance the study of Chinese Christianity.
According to the organizer, on October 21, JRCC announced the 2024 applications for the Outstanding Doctoral Student Award and the Outstanding Paper Award, aimed at doctoral students specializing in Christian studies.
The notice stated that applicants must submit their materials by November 15, 2024. Winners will be notified by November 20. Outstanding Doctoral Student Award recipients will receive RMB 5,000, while each owner of the Outstanding Papers will be awarded RMB 2,000. All winners will also receive certificates.
This year, a "Christian Research Workshop" will take place in Beijing from December 21 to 22, coinciding with the award ceremony. Award-winning students will be required to present their papers along with research insights during the session. Additionally, senior scholars will be invited to deliver speeches and participate in the paper review process.
Each winner traveling from outside the workshop venue city will receive a travel subsidy of RMB 1,000, while the JRCC will cover food and accommodation expenses during the workshop.
With an ISSN of 2325-9914, the Journal of Research for Christianity in China, semi-annual, is published in June and December every year. While the journal primarily focuses on the study of Christianity in China, it also welcomes scholarly articles addressing Chinese philosophy, thought, culture, and religion.
