Jiangnan Church in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the relocation and reconstruction project on November 30.
In the service, the Rev. Zhao Gang shared a sermon themed “Building in Grace,” citing Daniel 9:25. He encouraged believers to pray and contribute to the construction of the Lord’s temple, said CCC&TSPM.
The Rev. Qiu Lin spoke about the history of the church, its relocation plan, and building scale.
The new church will occupy a construction area of 5.7 mu (0.94 acres) with a floor area of 1,800 square meters (0.44 acres). Its design emphasizes integrating elements of ethnic minority architecture, Western Sichuan architecture, and Chinese architecture.
