CCC&TSPM Receives World Federation of the Chinese Methodist Churches

Last Tuesday, a six-member delegation from the World Federation of Chinese Methodist Churches (WFCMC) visited CCC&TSPM.

At the meeting held on December 10, Rev. Lin Manhong, vice president and general secretary of the China Christian Council (CCC), provided an overview of the current state of churches in China, said the host. She highlighted the Chinese church's efforts in promoting the sinicization of Christianity, cultivating talent, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in church operations.

Rev. Dr. Gregory Goh Nai Lat, president of the WFCMC and the Chinese Annual Conference (CAC) of The Methodist Church in Singapore (MCS), noted that while national conditions may differ, all nations are united as disciples of the Lord. He expressed hope that this visit would further strengthen the friendship between the two parties.

During the reception, Rev. Geng Weizhong, vice president of CCC, highlighted the achievements of CCC&TSPM in media ministry, showcasing their work in publishing, distribution, and information dissemination.

Rev. Dr. Su Chii Ann, general secretary of the WFCMC, provided an overview of the organization, which was established in 1987.

Rev. Dr. Lau Hui Ming, president of the Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference (SCAC) of the Methodist Church in Malaysia (MCM), Rev. Lam Chun, president of the Methodist Church in Hong Kong (MCHK), Rev. Kuan-Yu Huang, president of the Methodist Church in the Republic of China, and Rev. Dr. Hii Kong Hock, president of the Sabah Annual Conference (SAC) of the MCM, shared updates on the state of the Methodist church in their respective countries and regions.
