Guangxiao Church in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, recently announced its Chinese New Year event schedule.
According to the host church, on January 29, the first day of the lunar new year, a Spring Festival thanksgiving worship and celebration themed "The Old Has Gone, the New Is Here" will be held, featuring a special bag-passing donation session.
On February 9, the first Sunday after the Spring Festival holiday, a New Year Lantern Festival will take place in the church courtyard. Activities included printing the Chinese character "Fu" (blessing), making candied haws, lantern riddles, pitch-pot games, tangyuan scooping, collecting "Fu" characters, taking photos at themed photo spots, and participating in cultural and creative charity sales.
