On January 21, Urumqi Municipal CC&TSPM in Xinjiang held its 2024 year-end summary and democratic evaluation meeting at Mingde Church. A total of 110 pastoral staff members from 17 churches across the city attended.
According to CCC&TSPM, during the pre-conference devotional session, Rev. Fan Chenguang quoted Philippians 1:3-11 and shared "a joy in life" in the form of questions to explore the source of Paul's joy and the reason why he prayed for the Philippian church. Rev. Fan pointed out that Paul's joy came from his thoughts and gratitude for the Philippian church, as well as the satisfaction of participating in the gospel ministry together, and his prayer was for the growth of the church. Fan encouraged the attending co-workers to serve the Lord and prosper the gospel in 2025 with the theme of "Reciting the Bible, Living Out the Holy Lord; the Word Becoming Flesh, Glorifying God, and Benefiting People."
The formal meeting began with Rev. Cui Hebin, chairperson of the municipal TSPM, delivering the 2024 annual work summary. The financial team then presented a report on the year's financial activities, followed by a report on the elderly care ministry by the Amity Senior Apartment. Subsequently, participants evaluated the leadership team and the members of the Board of Supervisors.
The second agenda item involved all pastors presenting their 2024 work summaries and personal reports. Participants then completed evaluation forms to assess each pastor's service.
