On June 1, Xiangmihu Church in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, held a baptism service for 12 seekers, with one individual receiving confirmation. Over 150 congregants gathered to witness this sacred moment.

According to the hosting church, before the ceremony, Senior Pastor Qiu Quan led a confession of faith part, individually questioning each candidate on core Christian doctrines. Each of the 12 candidates responded with a firm "I do."

The church staff introduced thata three-month course helped participants establish foundations in their faith. The baptized ranged in age from 20 to 80, including different groups such as white-collar, blue-collar, and retired teachers in enterprises, four of them who come from Christian families.

During the baptismal service, Rev. Qiu Quan performed triple aspersion baptism for each candidate. Dressed in white robes, the candidates received baptism, which symbolized the spiritual truth of "putting off the old one and putting on the new one" was applied to them.

On the same day, Sister Long Yan, the sole recipient of the confirmation rite, shared her testimony. Speaking on through serving her family, she witnessed more and more of God's grace and determined to proclaim His work in her life.

After the service, the church presented each baptized person with a baptismal certificate, a Bible, and a bunch of flowers.

Xiangmihu Church, located in Shenzhen's Futian District, was originally established as the "Zhuzilin Meeting Point" in 1997. After multiple relocations due to urban development, it was officially renamed "Xiangmihu Church" in 2010. With the prayers and dedication of its congregation, the church purchased an 830-square-meter property in 2017 and relocated there in 2018. Since then, it has experienced steady growth, currently hosting over 600 Sunday attendees and operating more than 40 fellowship and ministry groups that serve various age groups and functional needs.
