On November 18, a dedication service was held at Canaan Church near Cihu Lake in Huangshi, Hubei Province.
Hundreds of people attended the ceremony, including leaders from Hubei CC&TSPM (Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement), believers, and representatives from other churches, according to Hubei TSPM.
Rev. Xu Chengxiang, vice president of Hubei CC and president of Huangshi CC&TSPM, reviewed the challenging journey from planning to completion in his report. He expressed gratitude for governmental support, believers' devotion, and the builders' hard work, urging the congregation to take this as a starting point to serve, making Canaan Church an important platform for preaching the gospel, practicing love, and promoting harmony.
During the ceremony, the church choir presented several hymns, including "Amazing Grace." Attendees watched a documentary on the "Construction of Canaan Church" and a video on the practice of the sinicization of Christianity in Huangshi. Finally, the launch ceremony was co-moderated with pastoral representatives, marking the official opening of the church.
