The Christian Culture Research Series has recently released a new academic work titled A Study on the Spatial Narrative of Christian Higher Education in the Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China by Liu Ping.

According to Chinese Christian Studies, the book was published in March 2025 by Hua Mulan Culture Press Co., Ltd. in Taiwan. This volume is the 13th in the acclaimed "Eleven Volumes" series and the third installment in the sub-series "Remains of Chinese Church Universities," exploring the history and spatial heritage of four Lutheran seminaries in China.

Divided into five chapters, the book investigates the establishment of the Lutheran Church in China and the founding, development, educational philosophy, and remaining physical traces of four institutions: Jingzhou Theological Seminary, Shekou Lutheran Theological Seminary, Hankou Concord Theological Seminary, and Andong Lutheran Theological Seminary. Through detailed narrative and analysis, Liu reconstructs the spatial layout and collective memory of Lutheran theological education in China.

He has pursued academic research and exchanges at institutions in Canada, Hong Kong, the United States, and the United Kingdom. His major works include Chinese Biblical Studies under Construction: The Origin of Chinese Theology and Christianity and the Crisis of Modernity in China.
