Last Friday, the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs announced the launch of the Climate Action Campaign 2025, themed “From Earth Hour to Earth Day,”  running globally from March 22 to April 22, 2025.

According to the announcement on February 7, as part of the Climate Defenders project, participants are encouraged to create and share videos or posts about the daily challenge on social media, tagging the host in their posts. Designed to raise awareness about global warming and promote individual actions to combat the climate crisis, the challenges will focus on themes such as Vegetarian-Vegan, No-Plastic, Low Carbon, Low Water, Zero Waste, Recycle & Upcycle, and Buy Local, running from Monday to Sunday throughout the campaign.

Additionally, participants are encouraged to use hashtags such as #EarthHour2EarthDay, #YMCA_ClimateDefenders, and #Change4Climate to help promote the campaign.
