CCC&TSPM has issued a call for papers for the academic symposium on Chinese Christian theology which is going to be held in August.
According to the organizer's announcement on April 2, “CCC&TSPM intends to convene the academic symposium on Chinese Christian theology to advance the sinicization of Christianity in China thoroughly and practically and implement the key tasks in 2024 based on the 'Outline of the Five-Year Work Plan for Further Advancing the Sinicization of Christianity (2023-2027)'. Nationwide CC&TSPMs and theological schools are expected to actively participate in the event by mobilizing the pastoral staff, theological faculties, and students to submit papers.”
Inviting submissions from CC&TSPMs from distinct provinces, autonomous areas, and municipalities, as well as theological institutions, the call for papers requires a probe into establishing a "perspective of God" with Chinese church features via the lens of the sinicization of Christianity.
Originality is required, with the submissions expected to be previously unpublished in magazines or periodicals. Each CC&TSPM of the provinces, autonomous areas, municipalities, and seminary is required to submit at least two papers, with no maximum limit set.
Additionally, the announcement stated that upon receiving the papers, the CCC&TSPM will extend invitations to the outstanding authors to participate in seminars and exchanges.
The deadline for paper submissions is set for June 15th.
