Datong Municipal TSPM in Shanxi Province is holding its third session of pastoral staff training, following two previous sessions recently concluded.
Starting from March 3, the third training session draws over 170 pastoral staff members, featuring the speaker Rev. Huang Hailin, chairperson of Linfen Municipal TSPM, according to Shanxi TSPM.
The previous sessions held from February 17–21 and February 24–28 covered different subjects, including policies and regulations, exegesis and preaching, and church management.
Guo Zhenxiu, a researcher at the municipal United Front Work Department, interpreted the key clauses in the "Regulations on Religious Personnel", including the identification conditions, rights and obligations, filing procedures, and handling of religious personnel violating laws, regulations, or rules; Zhang Xiaobo, an officer of the municipal Religious Affairs Bureau, explored the specific methods of sinicization of religion. This training specially invited Rev. Li Xin of the Taiyuan Municipal CC&TSPM to delve into the book of Romans and Rev. Luo Hexiang to give a lecture on "The Christian's Reasonable Service," and local pastoral colleagues in Datong shared the content of related biblical topics such as service, devotional life, covenant, and sacred music.
The training marked the first conducted since the completion of the Datong Christian Training Center.
Nearly 440 clergy members have participated in all the sessions.
