A training course for young and middle-aged backbones in churches was conducted in Jiangxi Province.

Over 50 key pastoral staff from across the province attended the event organized by Jiangxi CC&TSPM from July 8 to 11, said CCC&TSPM.

Professor Zhang Yibin from Nanchang University was invited to lecture on the topic "The Demeanour of Wei and Jin Dynasties and Traditional Culture," where students learned about the lives and attitudes of the literati during the Wei and Jin Dynasties, gaining a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of traditional Chinese culture.

Rev. Wen Ge from Nanjing Union Theological Seminary delivered a course titled "The Communion Ecclesiology from the Perspective of Ecumenical Theology and the Construction of a Sinicized Church," which sparked great interest among students at different levels of pastoral care.

Professor Wu Ziming, a visiting professor from the Center for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society at Shanghai University, gave a lecture on "Revisiting the History of Christianity: New Insights from the Sinicization of Christianity." He emphasized that the independence of theological thought promotes the independence of the Chinese church in administration and management.

Participants expressed that they have gained a clearer understanding that a sinicized Christian theology is necessary and that they will serve the church and society better while learning their mission and responsibilities through this training session.
