Last week, the provincial CC&TSPMs of Jiangxi and Sichuan held standing committee meetings to review the work in 2024 and deployed key tasks for 2025.
According to CCC&TSPM, on February 26, the standing committee meeting of Sichuan Provincial CC&TSPM was held in Chengdu, bringing more than 40 participants, including members of the standing committee of Sichuan Provincial CC&TSPM and representatives from the Board of Supervisors across the province.
The meeting emphasized the systematic promotion of the sinicization of Christianity in Sichuan, strengthening the development of theological thought, and encouraging the integration of Christianity with traditional Chinese culture. It called for the continued deepening of comprehensive strict governance over religion and encouraged pastoral personnel to strengthen the study and interpretation of Christian scriptures and doctrines and canons that are closely related to promoting comprehensively strict governance of religion by transforming the results into important contents of daily management, preaching, and school teaching.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the importance of continuous progress on the group-self construction, fully implementing the division of labor and responsibility system, coordinating and integrating the resources of the provincial Christian community, and hosting the annual key event such as the symposium held by CCC&TSPM to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Tianfeng, the flagship magazine of CCC&TSPM.
Prior to this, Jiangxi Provincial CC&TSPM held the current standing committee meeting from February 24 to 25. The meeting reviewed and approved the "Summary of Jiangxi Christian Work in 2024" and the "Key Tasks of Jiangxi Christian Work in 2025." The meeting acknowledged that the Christian community in the province has achieved results in adhering to the direction of Christian sinicization, promoting democratic management of religion, and strengthening its own construction in 2024. In 2025, the Jiangxi Christian community will continue to deepen the practice of Christian sinicization, serve society, cultivate talents, and promote comprehensively strict governance of religion.
